If you have been following me you know I have some themes in design. This year I made another Ocean colors wall quilt. This is an abstract, curved piecing of the varied colors of the ocean. It is a chance to play with blues for a day or two!! There is almost no way to make a mistake with all these blues and fun to try different piecing.
Ocean Colors 4 was also fun to quilt. I took a look at my past Ocean 
Colors art quilts for ideas and a refresher about how I quilted past similar quilts. You can see from the photo of the BACK of the quilt the variety of free motion quilt stitching I used on this wall quilt. As I’ve said a bunch of times before….art quilting should be creative and fun!! This was definitely enjoyable to quilt. I decided on my stitch designs as I went along. This was one of those times it was OK to work this way. Sometimes a bigger picture design plan is needed but not with Ocean Colors or other abstract art quilts similar to this one.
