Some new quilts

Somehow this fall got away from me. My volunteer work with our local library where I’m president of the board and chairman of our major auction fundraiser (held end of Sept) seemed to keep me from sewing.  Then I’ve had some strange inflammation in some major joints which doctors are still mystified by but I’m getting into a Rheumatologist in two weeks and life is OK in the meantime.  Last week I had time and motivation to get back into sewing before the rush of the Christmas week and then New Year’s week with family and friends.

You can see a few of my new quilts in this blog, variations on some designs from the past.  I tried, though it feels unsuccessful, to have a 20% off sale in my Etsy shop. The only takers I had were some local buyers and each time I had to manually enter the sale refund.  I feel like such a technology invalid when I can’t figure out some of this!

So I made some fun quilts that were not too difficult and got me back into sewing and quilting.  These are a bunch of abstract landscapes and one bright full moon art quilt.  I experimented with some new free motion designs which is always fun.  I’ve determined it is really hard to ruin a quilt with first time quilt stitching so why not experiment!

I’ve been collecting photos of outstanding sunsets in central PA this fall and hope to make a few sunset quilts in January.

Have a happy holidays!  I plan to get back to my every 3 week posting in 2026
