For 2022 I have decided to accept a limited number of custom quilt requests with a few new 
parameters which I must add to the Etsy site information. My size limits are slightly smaller at 40″ x 40″, preferably 36″ x 40″. No more 40″ on one dimension. I’m being selected about the designs I will re-create in different sizes too, mostly just due to my interest in creating different quilts throughout the year and not all of one motif….like trees which are very popular.
This birch tree quilt was a custom order I was happy to create. Birch tree fabric seems to be a scarce commodity but lucky for this customer, I had found some late last year and ordered a few yards.
I’ve also recently finished a Sunset custom quilt and a Beach and Dunes custom quilt.
Working with customers who are flexible and accept suggestions makes the whole process more enjoyable for both of us. I hope to spend much of the summer making some of my own designs. Custom requests can completely consume me and then the art becomes more of a production instead of a creative activity. I will be keeping a better balance this year.
