Birch Tree Quilt Donated for Fundraiser

I am a member of my local library board of trustees.  This year I am helping with their annual silent and live auction.  We are adding a new area to our silent auction, a table with donations from local artists.  Library patrons and auction attendees will be able to buy raffle tickets to place in jars beside each piece of art for a win through a drawing.  I’m spearheading this effort and plan to have about a dozen pieces of art.  I’m not looking for anything big but a quality sample of each artists’ work.

I am donating an art quilt, Birch Trees 21 in Fall, which I made this week.  My tree quilts are always popular so I thought a smallish one would be perfect for the auction.  This one is 12.5″ H x 16.5″W.

Each artist will have the option of providing us with copies of a short bio and/or business cards.  I designed a short bio with my business card information for my donated quilt.

This seems like the perfect venue to showcase local artists.  The auction is Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 6 – 9pm at the Public Library for Union County.  Publicity and invitations will be coming out in July.  The public is invited.
